Like you I’ve been in that place where I’ve been overbooked, people pleasing, multi-tasking, busy, busy busy. I’ve tried to fit into the mold that our society tells us we should… always working harder, earning more, buying more, wanting more, wash, rinse and repeat. But no matter how hard I worked and how busy I was, it wasn’t enough. It wasn’t ever going to be enough. Our society is set up for this. It wants us to be good little consumers. We’ve been trained for this just about since birth.
But all that consuming and working harder and staying busy isn’t really making you happier, is it? It wasn’t making me happier either.
I’m a wife, step-mom, teacher, author and blogger. Along with my experiences in life I’ve gathered some “baggage” (and some boxes in the basement!). I bet you can relate. Life can get a little overwhelming if you don’t take some time to clear your space and your mind and start to live with intention and purpose.
